5 Wainwrights walks challenge – raising money for mental Health

Lads from Frizington and Distington have got together to make a difference this month.
Gary Hewer and Ryan Dodgson are part of the Rugby playing community in our part of the world, and wanted to see what sport could do to help West Cumbria Mental Health at this time.
Whitehaven RL and Workington Town RL are two of the many clubs who will be sending representative to take the 5 Wainwrights walks challenge. Money raised will go to promoting awareness of mental health here in West Cumbria. Other clubs taking the trek are Whitehaven RU & St Benedicts RU.
The lads have have thanked the local Rugby community for their support, with each local armature club sending up to 4 representative each to accompany the lads on their way.
The sponsored walk will consist of 5 Wainwrights including: Dodd, Carlside, Longside, Ullock Pike & Skiddaw and take place on the 11 of July
